Two cars involved in car crash yesterday on Ladybridge Estate

Two cars crashed yesterday on Ladybridge estate outside The Beaumont Arms and Ladybridge Primary School.

Cllr Andy Morgan shared a picture on social media of two cars that had crashed on the estate at around 6pm to 6.30pm, claiming the spot is frequently used for speeding, though it hasn't been confirmed in this case yet by police.

He said: "We need more police presence and speed reduction measures before an innocent bystander is killed.

"20mph signs without enforcement really does not cut it with the residents.

"GMP need to step up their game and the council need to implement some speed reduction measures before some innocent resident is killed."

The emergency services have been contacted for comment.
